Meet your Kindergarten Family

Kindergarten supercharges success in school.

Roberts Elementary StudentKindergarten is a happy and warm place for your child. We think of it as a family. We hope you will, too. Here are some key people you can count on to support your child and help you, too.

SBCUSD’s Kindergarten Teachers love children and they are experts at helping kids learn. They all have college degrees and teaching credentials that prove they know how to do their job and teach young learners. Our teachers participate in ongoing training to stay current with the latest teaching techniques,  strategies for helping kids learn to get along with others, and the needs of the diverse cultures we serve.
In short, our Kindergarten Teachers are true professionals who make learning fun for your child.

SBCUSD’s School Principals care about kids as if they are their own. Principals are responsible for everything that happens at their school. They were all full-time teachers once who know what it is like to help students learn. Now they coach teachers at their school to be the best for their students. They also make sure schools are safe and clean, and students feel welcome and valued.

And You are an important part of our Kindergarten Family too.  Parents and guardians help kids learn at home.

Getting Started

The first step to starting kindergarten is enrolling in school.  Enrolling is not difficult, but it may require families to do something new. These steps can get you started, but we’re just a phone call away if you need us.

Enrolling

Enrolling online is the preferred method. You can do this at any time convenient for you.

1.)  You will need an email address to enroll online.
2.)  Scan or take a picture of these documents:
      a. Your child’s birth certificate
      b. Your Child’s Immunization Record
      c. Your Proof of Address (like a utility bill)
      d. Your Driver’s License or other identification
      e. Court orders, if you have any.
3.)  Visit www.sbcusd.com/enrollment to start the process
4.)  Create an Aeries account using your email address
5.)  Complete the online enrollment forms.

You may also visit your nearest elementary school or call the SBCUSD Enrollment Center at (909) 889-7576.

Once your child is enrolled, someone from your child’s school will reach out to share the information you need to get ready for the first day of Kindergarten.
